Empowering ABLE participants to reach their full potential
Our program is dedicated to building essential employment skills, knowledge, and confidence in the workplace, while also enhancing self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-advocacy skills. We create opportunities for each participant to actively contribute to their community, promoting a sense of belonging and purpose. Emphasizing healthy living, we tailor unique programs to meet the specific needs of each individual, empowering them to thrive both personally and professionally.

Individuals who demonstrate a desire to learn, grow, and take risks
Those with caregivers who support their goals
Recent high school graduates
Individuals with an intellectual disability
Those who have completed successful cooperative work experience at the high school level
Individuals with basic pedestrian skills
Those who aim to travel independently on public transit through travel and safety training
Program Structure
Participants are supported in our five core programs: work, travel and safety training, recreation, continuing education, and community service activities. Each participant has an individualized program schedule.

Work
Through job carving with our community partners, we support participants in paid work positions within the community.

Travel & Safety
Participants receive training in transit and pedestrian safety skills with the goal of taking transit independently.

Recreation
Participants are provided with a yearly membership to a local fitness center. Each participant is assessed by certified fitness trainers and given a customized fitness plan.

Continuing Education
Participants have the opportunity to develop life skills and functional literacy skills, as well as participate in general interest activities like clay class, painting, gardening, music, yoga, etc.

Community Service
Participants regularly engage in a variety of volunteer opportunities within the community.
